Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk is certain to return for a third term in office, which if she serves the full four years will make her one of the state's longest-serving premiers.
The only question will be exactly what form that government will take, with some seats still in play meaning there is some question of whether Labor will govern in its own right or form a minority government with the support of a minor party or independent.
However after securing a 5 per cent swing in their favour on the initial polling results, they might not have to worry.
The only Labor person not celebrating tonight is Jackie Trad, who looks almost certain to lose her seat of south Brisbane to Greens Challenger Amy MacMahon,as the minor party consolidates its hold on inner-Brisbane electorates.
LNP Leader Deb Frecklington had a stumble involving her concession speech, which just adds insult to debilitating injury for the now-embattled leader.
A timing error meant she took the stage just a few minutes after Ms Palaszczuk had started speaking, meaning TV (and blogging) coverage had to wait until after the Premier had finished before circling back to get her comments.
After the speech she said she wasn't trying to spoil the Premier's speech, and insisted she would stay on as opposition leader, despite theoretically performing worse than former Leader Tim Nicholls in 2017.
The final makeup of the parliament is still very much to be decided, with thousands of postal votes and pre-poll ballots still to be counted.
Join us tomorrow as Poll Call returns to follow the latest from the election count as well as examine the wash-up of the campaign and look at what it all means for the next four years.
We hope to see you then.
