Documents tabled at the NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption's Operation Spicer show 62 known members of the group pledged $1500 or less in December 2010. The donations totalled more than $67,000.
Former prime minister Kevin Rudd branded the group an"extremist cult"that destroys families after it emerged it donated heavily to John Howard's 2004 campaign.
But Mr Turnbull says he has no problem with the sect and religious groups are entitled to manage their own affairs.
"I've got no criticisms or complaints about that organisation,"he said."As you know,everybody is free to make political contributions."
Mr Turnbull indicated the Liberals needed all the financial support it could get to compete with Labor and the unions.
