For top results,make sure your lashes are clean and dry,then apply a nutrient and peptide-rich serum to the lash roots every night for four to six weeks. The serum enhances the growth pattern of the existing root follicles,as well as helping to activate those that have stopped growing.
Ingredients to look for in a good lash and brow growth serum are peptides (amino acids that can help stimulate growth),biotin (aka vitamin B7,which aids hair and nail growth),vitamin B complex,and natural citric acid (to help remove the free radicals,dirt and excess oil that can clog pores and affect natural lash growth).
Four lash serums worth a try are Olaplex ($122),The Ordinary ($24.60),RapidLash ($55) and Eye of Horus ($42).

According to make-up artist Vincent Oquendo,whose clients include Lily Collins and Jenna Ortega,“Some formulas are created for volumising,while others are great for lash definition or to comb and define after you’ve established your desired volume. This creates dramatic lashes.”
His kit includes a Tweezermann ($60),a Mirenesse ($29) and Lashify ($11). Oquendo recommends using two to three mascaras,remembering that it’s about slathering on the pigment while avoiding any clumping. “Curl your lashes from root to tip,then apply your first coat of mascara and comb though,” he advises. “Then use your Lashify drying tool. It puffs air on your lashes and sets your mascara faster so your curl won’t drop.”
Oquendo’s mascaras of choice are Lancôme ($59),with Maybelline New York ($13) to boost volume and length.
Anyone looking for a less time-consuming option is advised to go for lash extensions and then beef them up with mascara for their own version of the mascara cocktail.
