Black Friday may have originated in the United States,but the retail holiday has cemented itself in the Australian market as one of the biggest shopping events of the year with a range of retailers participating. Traditionally,the sales begin on the Friday after the Thanksgiving holiday – this year,that’s November 24.

AFinder survey of over 1000 people revealed that 46 per cent of Australians have,or are planning to,shop the sales this year. In terms of popularity,Black Friday (30 per cent) has overtaken the Boxing Day sales (26 per cent).
