Dua Lipa’s alleged miming act

Her set was filled with fireworks,five outfits changes and leather-clad back-up dancers,but the thing that got everyone talking was whether Dua Lipa was actually singing.

Rumours of thepop star lip-synching swirled following her performance,to which Lipasimply responded:“I don’t mime.” An anonymous source also toldThe Sun that any misalignment was allegedly due to a sound delay in the BBC’s broadcast.

Rumours aside,Dua Lipa helped make history by being one of two female headliners at Glastonbury – a first in the festival’s 50-plus-year history. She,alongside SZA and Coldplay,were chosen to lead the festivities.

Coldplay goes back to the future

Coldplay stunned festivalgoers by bringing Michael J. Fox onto the stage to play the electric guitar duringFix You.

The rock band credited Fox,who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1991,for being the reason the band formed. “The main reason why we’re in a band is because of watchingBack to the Future,” frontman Chris Martin told the crowd. “So,thank you to our hero forever,and one of the most amazing people on Earth.”

Coldplay has now headlined Glastonbury five times – a festival record (The Cure held the title before this year).

Banksy crashes Glasto

While British rock band Idles played the songDanny Nedelko,an inflatable raft suddenly appeared in the crowd. Many initially assumed it was part of the set however it was later revealed as a surprise protest from renowned street artist Banksy.

The boat contained dummy migrants in life jackets,and was released as the band sang the lyrics “my blood brother is an immigrant/ a beautiful immigrant”.

Idles was not aware of Banksy’s plans ahead of their Friday set. According toThe Guardian,the stunt was a reference to the migrant boats crossing the English Channel,which have been a “high-profile target of Rishi Sunak’s immigration policy”.

Cyndi Lauper has sound issues

Cyndi Lauper just wanted to have fun,but Glastonbury’s sound system had other plans. The 71-year-old struggled with pitch and timing during songs likeRockingChair andTimeAfterTime,with her voice occasionally drowned out by reverberating bass.

At times,Lauper appeared to argue with members of the production team at the side of the stage. However,the crowd kept her spirits high,singing along as she strutted around in a powder blue coat and even busted out a recorder solo.
