Man killed in drive-by shooting in south-east Melbourne

A man was killed in a drive-by shooting in Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs early on Saturday.

The 30-year-old Cranbourne man was found with a gunshot wound in a vehicle on Bride Avenue in Hampton Park about 12.30am,police said. He died at the scene.

Homicide Squad detectives who are investigating the circumstances were told a Ford Ranger utility was seen driving away from the area.

According to police,the same vehicle was believed to be found burnt out at Sweeney Reserve in Berwick just after 2.30am.
