Man airlifted to Perth hospital after ‘suspected drowning’ in Cervantes

A man has been flown to hospital in Perth following a suspected drowning in Cervantes on Tuesday.

Emergency crews including the RAC Rescue helicopter rushed to Corunna Road in the coastal town over a suspected water incident about 1.30pm.

It’s understood a man in his 30s had drowned,or had to be pulled from the water.

He was taken to Jurien Bay Health Centre before being airlifted to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth, where the RAC helicopter was due to land about 4.20pm.

Corunna Road backs onto the beach, but also borders a popular holiday park which has a public pool.
