Daniel Peter Berry,49,was found dead at a Hampton Road community housing complex for those at risk of homelessness around 6.10pm,following a call to police.
Michael Victor Harrison,53,who was known to the victim,was arrested a day later by the homicide squad.
He has since been charged with murder and made a brief appearance in Fremantle Magistrate’s Court on Thursday where he had his charge read to him.
He was remanded in custody,to appear again in Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court on February 21.
