He was arrested and taken to Maroubra police station,where a second test allegedly returned a result of 0.104.

Warner will face court next month.

Warner represented Australia for 15 years,playing more than 100 Tests. He retired from Test cricket in January 2024 after 112 matches.

Warner now plies his trade as aT20 globetrotter and has been playing in the Pakistan Super League T20 tournament.

He was banned for life from holding leadership positions after a 2018 ball-tampering scandal in South Africa,but a Cricket Australia panellater overturned the ban.

He now captains Pakistan’s Karachi Kings and the Sydney Thunder,playing his last match in Lahore on April 2,a few days before the alleged DUI in Sydney.
