Nic White and the Wallabies would have loved nothing more than a victory to mark rugby union’s first foray into the new Allianz Stadium. Instead, they go back to the drawing board before the Bledisloe Cup which marks “the two biggest games of our year”.
“They came out firing, first breakdown really climbed into us and upset the rhythm of the game. We weren’t able to get into it,” White said.
“Credit to them, they showed why they’re world champs. Physically,I think they were just better than us. Defensively,double-teaming our men, slowing the breakdown. It’s disappointing,a great crowd turned out here tonight and we weren’t able to get into it.
“We’ll go back to the drawing board,we’ve got the two biggest games of our year coming up. We’re down to Melbourne, hopefully we can get away to a good start there and throw the kitchen sink at that.”
