On Friday,world-renowned Australian LGBTQIA+ venue The Imperial Erskineville,in partnership with Absolut Vodka,launched the Absolut:House of Love campaign celebrating the 42nd annual Sydney Gay&Lesbian Mardi Gras.

On hand to celebrate were Mardi Gras CEOAlbert Kruger,The Voice 2016 winnerAlfie Arcuri,celebrity chefAnna Polyviou,Rugby Australia’s head of diversity and inclusionCasey Conway,Channel Nine’sThe Block host and interior designerDarren Palmer,celebrity make-up artistMax May,Double Rainbouu creative directorsMichael Nolan andToby Jones, Studio Ten hostRichard Reid,and fashion blogger andVogue contributor Tanja Gagic.

Guests were treated to The Imperial’s award-winning restaurant fare including coconut ceviche,Berber-spiced chicken,and the famous chilli chocolate brownie with cherry compote and coconut cream. They sipped on Absolut cocktails during performances by Melbourne-based performance artists The Huxleys,The Imperial’s resident queenEtcetera Etcetera,and DJLauren Neko on the decks.

Surry Hills Japanese-Korean fusion restaurant Tokki hosted an evening of canapes and cocktails at their Foveaux Street digs on Wednesday night.

Eurovision hopefulJack Vidgen and KIIS FM’sIntern Pete were among the crowd indulging in the menu inspired by the bustling izakayas of Seoul and Tokyo,which included Tokki's Korean fried chicken. Since opening its doors late last year,Tokki has already become a local foodie hotspot.

Sweat session at Sydney’s latest fitness hub

King Beats Fitness opened its doors six weeks ago and on Tuesday media and fitness influencers were put through their paces in a gruelling hour-long workout at one of Sydney's newest gyms. Pitched as"a gym with a nightclub atmosphere",King Beats features graffiti murals and live DJs to get patrons pumped for their workouts.

"The environment you train in is as important as the training itself so we have designed the gym to make you feel motivated whilst working towards your goals,"according toMaddison Turner andPatrick Monica,co-founders of the concept.
