Investigators have been unable to establish the cause of her death, and despite receiving several leads over the years and offering a $50,0000 reward for information,no one has ever been charged.
Thirty years on,police believe a new $1 million reward might be the incentive needed to get people talking and unearth the missing piece of the puzzle they need to solve the case and provide closure to the Brown family.
Brown was a gifted athlete who loved surfing,water-skiing and playing volleyball. She adored her younger brother David and would often take him outdoors to play cricket. Her mother Jeanette said her daughter was loyal to a fault, and often got taken advantage of by friends.
Brown had begun to flirt with drugs and fall in with the wrong crowd after a knee injury prematurely ended her promising netball career, but she wasn’t a party girl who frequented local nightclubs.

The day she went missing, she was on her way to the Frankston train station after celebrating her 25th birthday with friends at a home in Frankston North.
Earlier that evening, she borrowed 30 cents from a friend and used it to phone her brother from a Food Plus store and tell him to ask their mother to pick her up from the station.
