Asked for the names of anyone with information about his “alleged medical condition of anhidrosis, hypohidrosis” or his “inability to sweat”,the duke could only identify himself and again said he had no documentary evidence.

Boies said:“Prince Andrew has apparently already determined that he has no documents that would be responsive to the majority of plaintiff’s requests”. Judge Kaplan will hear arguments on the duke’s motion to dismiss the case on Tuesday.

Ian Maxwell,Ghislaine’s brother, yesterday said that it could take up to six months for her to be sentenced.

“Our lawyers are telling us that sentencing could take anywhere between three and six months,” he said,as US authorities conduct an investigation into her personal circumstances.

“They have to ring Oxford and check she has a degree and God knows what else,” Mr Maxwell said.

Sigrid McCawley,a lawyer for several accusers of Maxwell and her former boyfriend Jeffrey Epstein, including Giuffre, said women who did not give evidence at the federal trial will be given the unusual chance to make a statement to Judge Alison Nathan.

Victim impact statements, written or oral testimonies presented to the court at the sentencing of a defendant, force offenders to hear how their victim has been affected by their actions.

Although the judge will decide the defendant’s sentence based primarily on the pre-sentence report and certain sentencing guidelines, impact statements should be considered before a final decision is made.

“At the sentencing,I anticipate that there will be a lot of testimony from many, many other women who were not able to be heard at the trial, who will come forward and bring information about their suffering at the hands of Ghislaine Maxwell,” McCawley said. “I believe this will be considered by the court before Judge Nathan renders her decision on the length of time Ghislaine will serve behind bars.”

After criminal proceedings against Epstein were dropped when he was found dead in his prison cell in August 2019,US District Judge Richard Berman allowed more than a dozen women to read impact statements at a specially convened hearing.
