Neil Parish,a farmer, who represents a seat in Devon,south-west England for the Conservative Party said he accidentally stumbled on the explicit content while looking for tractors.
He said that the first time he viewed porn on his phone while in the Commons was an accident but that on a second time, while waiting to vote,he deliberately looked up pornography to view.
“Funnily enough it was tractors that I was looking at,” Parish told the BBC in an interview on Saturday.
“I did get into another website with a sort of similar name and I watched it for a bit, which I shouldn’t have done.
“But my crime, most biggest crime is that on another occasion I went in a second time and that was deliberate,” he said.
He said it was a “moment of madness” and that he must have “taken complete leave of his senses” and that it was “totally wrong”.
“I’m not defending what I did for one moment,” he said and added that he was doing the interview to put on record that he was telling the truth.
