Simione Sefanaia Lua,22,was arrested at the Roselands address and taken to Campsie police station where he was charged with murder, two counts of taking and driving a conveyance without the consent of the owner, possessing an unauthorised pistol, and participating in a criminal group activity.
Lua made no application for bail when he faced Bankstown Local Court for a preliminary hearing on Thursday.
Throughout the searches, police also allegedly seized ammunition,an extendable baton,gel-blasters,a Taser, cloned registration plates, suspected prohibited drugs, clothing, more than $3000 in cash, and mobile phones.
NSW Police detective Acting Superintendent Glyn Baker said that police will allege the motive was directly related to Oraiha’s links to organised crime and that more arrests were expected in coming weeks.
“It was an execution-style killing we believe[is] linked to organised crime,” he said.
“There are a number of other people involved and we’re asking the public if they have any further information in relation to Marvin’s murder to come forward.”
