“Nicho provides that back-up for Daly as well,but also he’s got versatility around the back line as well. So,he’s a great addition to our squad.
“Nicho was with us in the PM’s[team],and he’s really approachable,easy to get on with and mixed into the team extremely well. He’s certainly got the personality and the demeanour to be a great team player and regardless if he gets an opportunity to play,I think he’d be a great member around the team.”
Hynes said he had always dreamed of playing for the Kangaroos.
“I’m grateful to have this opportunity to be around the best of the best,” he said. “It’s an experience I’ve dreamed of,and there is no better way to close out the year.”

Hynes played for the Australia Prime Minister’s XIII in Port Moresby last month,but Wednesday’s call-up is his first opportunity to play for the Kangaroos.
The 27-year-old joins Selwyn Cobbo,Thomas Flegler,Kotoni Staggs and Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow as potential debutants if he is named to play in the Test against Samoa on October 14 or the match against the Kiwis on October 28.
