Perched in comfy bench seating at Parliament House in Canberra today,Hinch appeared to hunch over as he had a nap.
The broadcaster,famous for his catch phrase"shame,shame,shame",later told Fairfax Media he"rest[ed] the eyes for a minute"after a busy day caught up with him.
Hinch,who at 72 is the oldest member of the Parliament,. Perhaps because he is far from the first to grab some shut-eye in full view of the press gallery.

He was eventually woken up when fellow MP Mal Brough tapped him on the arm and delivered him a glass of water.

Sitting directly behind Malcolm Turnbull and in full view of television cameras capturing Turnbull's answer,Truss nodded off until he was nudged awake by colleague Barnaby Joyce.

The independent Senator came prepared with pyjamas and a pillow that debated Senate voting reforms - but it appears he was all dressed up with nowhere to go.
Despite being suitably attired,there were no reports that the founder of the Nick Xenophon Team fell asleep in the chamber.

Is it counted as sleeping if you're standing up? Julie Bishop doesn't think so.
At a press conference in New Zealand last year,the Foreign Minister as Tony Abbott spoke about ties with Australia.
She later denied that she was nodding off.
