In the footage, obtained by this masthead,a man wearing a light-coloured hoodie and tracksuit pants can be seen getting out of the Suzuki Swift and walking to the house with the rifle in his hand.

The man, whose face is also covered, bangs on the door several times before hiding around a corner as he waits for someone to answer the door. A man can be heard saying:“Yeah? Who is it?” from inside the property shortly after.

The masked man then comes out of his hiding spot and shoots at the door twice before running back to the car and returning shortly after with an associate. The pair attempt to kick the door in,then scurry away to the car and drive off without gaining entry to the home.

Police found the torched remains of the Suzuki on Fashion Parade,in nearby Broadmeadows,a short time later. A firearm was still inside the vehicle.
