Where there's a will,there's a laneway,and in true Melbourne style,you'll find Goldilocks down a cobbled lane around the back of a car park. It's a large,stripped-back,canteen-style cafe with polished concrete floors and vintage bowling pins on the walls. Breakfast includes the usual suspects,but egg dishes get a refreshing shake-up with a 62.5-degree sous-vide eggs benedict with brown-butter hollandaise,or the super-stylish crumbed poached eggs with ribboned asparagus and miso puree. Lunch is wrap and toastie territory with a handful of hot dishes - soup,calamari,lamb and mushroom pie - rounding it out.
