Plough&Harrow Hotel

13.5/20

Contemporary$$

Built around 1850-51,the Plough and Harrow regained its old name with a major renovation in 2012,but the food servings remain generous. The $10 lunch with a drink is extremely popular on weekdays and it gets busy on a Thursday night for the meat raffle. All the old favourites, including pizzas, are on the menu, plus some offerings that aren't traditional pub food - cheese plate with crackers and muscatels,or pate, salad and toast for a light meal, perhaps? The steaks are generous and juicy and a swordfish special was cooked to perfection. Leave room for the deep-fried chocolate spring rolls.
