At Nhi Nuong,sisters Yen Phuong and Elizabeth Nguyen not only serve tip-top Vietnamese fare but also perform traditional ballads together most Friday to Sunday nights. Inside,the walls are busy with a mish-mash of bamboo panelling,colourful lights and big-screen TVs. Menu standouts include Vietnamese pancake,a wafer-thin crepe made with coconut milk and turmeric and stuffed with beansprouts and your choice of protein,while salt-and-pepper tofu sees custard-like silken beancurd coated in delicate,crisp batter. Rice-paper rolls are reliably tasty,too,served with sweet peanut sauce for dunking.
