Our love of Mexican food continues unabated,but finding authenticity in a sombrero full of Tex Mex interpretations has been a challenge. Then La Tortilleria opened its doors. Its original plan was to just sell 100 per cent stone-ground corn fresh-baked tortillas;it does that,and more. Quesadillas filled with beans and white cheese or chorizo keep the crowds coming,as do tacos piled high with spicy pork belly,grilled beef or mushroom,while tostaditas (with a hard tortilla base) are a more recent,vibrant addition. Finish with a sweet flan (based on a family recipe) or rich hot chocolate.
